The Sun, the giant star at the center of our solar system, is the ultimate source of energy that makes life on Earth possible. It provides the light and heat necessary for ecosystems, weather patterns, and biological processes. However, the Sun is not always calm and stable. It is an active and dynamic star that constantly releases energy and charged particles into space. Sometimes this activity becomes extremely intense, producing what scientists call solar storms.
